Maximum security men participate in a weekly storytelling workshop where they are able to explore their relationship to self and their community. The program began December 2017 and continues to provide services each week to inmates.
The CHANCE Program is comprised of incarcerated men ages 18 – 24 who participate in a series of programming classes at TCCC to help reduce the potential for recidivism. DSWM provides a class focused on the art of personal storytelling and music once a week.
We are excited to begin this partnership in 2018! Inmates will participate in weekly classes exploring various topics. The focus will be on the creation of artwork merged with personal narrative storytelling. Participants will learn about various artists and styles, construct their own art piece based on the weekly theme, and then share the story of their art with the group.
